Common Questions
Can I work with Dr. Hall if I am not an older adult?
Yes! Dr. Hall enjoys working with adults of all ages and is board certified in both adult and geriatric psychiatry.
What is an osteopathic physician?
An osteopathic physician or DO is a fully licensed physician. DOs practice in all areas of medicine using a whole person approach to partner with their patients to focus on wellness and preventative medicine. As part of their education, DOs receive special training in the musculoskeletal system, your body’s interconnected system of nerves, muscles, and bones.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I am currently enrolled and accepting Medicare, Medicaid, and BCBS of Vermont. If you have another insurance, you will be required to pay the out-of-pocket fees at the time of service, but can request an invoice/superbill to submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance company on your own.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes! I offer telehealth appointments, however these services are only available for those individuals located in Vermont.

I am a medical provider/therapist, how do I refer patients to you?
Most individuals do not need a referral, however checking with the individuals insurance policy is recommended. New patients can start the enrollment process by submitting the Pre-Screening Questionnaire located here.

How do I request a behavioral consultation?
Behavioral consultations are reserved for individuals who have been diagnosed with dementia and are exhibiting behavior and/or mood changes that are negatively impacting their quality of life. These are one time assessments and DO NOT include ongoing evaluation or management with Dr. Hall. These consultations REQUIRE a referral from a primary care provider and/or memory disorder specialist. Providers can complete the Dementia with Behavioral Disturbance Referral Form here.

What if I am having a mental health crisis or emergency?
Given the limitations of working in a solo private practice, I am not a suitable resource in the event of a mental health crisis or emergency. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department. Additional resources include the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: 988
